Airborne and Satellite Remote Sensing

Remote sensing involves a diverse group of researchers interested in sensor systems, analytical procedures, and applications. Aircraft and satellite sensing is a popular method for obtaining information on the spatial and temporal distribution of vegetation and soil resources. This community seeks to further the development and application of remote sensing in identifying, assessing, and monitoring aspects related to agronomy.

Biophysical Measurements and Sensors

The community will focus on disseminating knowledge relating to biophysical measurements and the development of technology to better characterize the biophysical environment. Areas of interest include soil and plant water relations, canopy structure and dynamics, radiation, and fluxes of mass and energy.
