ASA Early Career Professional Award

 

The ASA Early Career Professional Award recognizes professionals who have made an outstanding contribution in agronomy within seven years of completing their final degree (B.S., M.S., Ph.D.). The award consists of a certificate and $2,000 honorarium.

Evaluation:

  1. Evidence of quality teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
  2. Effectiveness in extension and outreach activities.
  3. Significance and originality of basic and/or applied research.
  4. Achievements in private sector application of agronomy, crop and/or soil science.
  5. Contributions to the public or professional organizations and institutions.

  2. Members of this SSSA Awards Committee, the SSSA Board of Directors, and also the ASA Executive Committee are not eligible to be a nominee for this award.
  3. Former recipients of this Award are not eligible.
  4. Teams are not eligible to be nominated.
  5. Nominees must have completed their terminal degree within seven years of the award date.
  6. Nominees are required to be a member of ASA.
  7. Nominees must be living at the time of their nomination.
