The Scientists Engaging and Educating Decision-makers (SEED) Ambassador Award is a year-long, immersive advocacy leadership program with the goal of developing trusted relationships between Society members and Members of Congress. Each year the SEED Ambassador Program will develop a class of Society Ambassadors that can influence decision-makers through their established connections.

The SEED Ambassador Award is for Society members interested in taking their advocacy efforts to the “next level.” During, the first eight months of the program, SEED Ambassadors will participate in monthly interactive webinars where new advocacy skills are developed. During the final months of the program, Ambassadors will work with the Policy staff to develop and carry out two advocacy-related events within your university, district, or state.

Recipients of the SEED Ambassador Award will be recognized at the Annual Meeting. The Ambassadors will also be featured in CSA News and regularly profiled in Society emails and on social media channels.

To learn more about the program, including advocacy topics, timeline of events, and requirements, see the SEED Ambassador webpage.

Application deadline is Wednesday, October 5, 2022.
