National Soil Judging Contest

The 2017 Collegiate Soils Contest is being hosted by Northern Illinois University, April 23-28, 2017.

The National Soil Judging Contest has been held at a different host institution each year since 1961. Soil contestants arrive at various soil pits and are expected to correctly identify, evaluate, classify, and describe four soil profiles.
