Journal of Environmental Quality is published by ASA, CSSA, and SSSA. Papers in JEQ are grouped by subject matter: heavy metals in the environment, plant and environment interactions, organic compounds in the environment, surface water quality, ground water quality, ecosystem restoration, vadose zone processes and chemical transport, waste management, atmospheric pollutants and trace gases, landscape and watershed processes, wetlands and aquatic processes, bioremediation and biodegradation, and ecological risk assessment. Six issues per year. Available online (ISSN 1537-2537) or yearend CD.
Written by and for educators, Natural Sciences Education covers all disciplines in the life sciences, animal science, natural resources, and agriculture. Published by ASA, the journal is interdisciplinary, with several cooperating associations: Amercan Society of Animal Science, Agricultural & Applied Economics Association, American Association for Agricultural Education, American Institute of Biological Sciences, American Phytophological Society, American Society for Horticultural Science, American Society of Plant Biologists, Ecological Society of America, and Entomological Society of America. NSE is published continuously in electronic form (ISSN 2168-8281).
Soil Science Society of America Journal is SSSA's official publication. Its contents focus on research relating to physics; chemistry; biology and biochemistry; fertility and plant nutrition; genesis, morphology, and classification; water management and conservation; forest, range, and wildland soils; nutrient management and soil and plant analysis; mineralogy; and wetland soils. Six issues per year. Available online (ISSN 1435-0661) or yearend CD.
Soil Horizons' aim is to share the importance of soil science with a larger audience. It features stories celebrating the diversity and critical impact of soil scientists and their work. Soil Horizons also serves as an outlet for the publication of peer-reviewed papers on global issues and solutions in the study of soils, along with emerging challenges, ideas, unique field experiences, and findings. But these papers may break from the traditional to explore everything from case studies as examples of a larger issue, to experiential papers with implications for further study or changes in practice. Six issues per year, online (ISSN 2163-2812).
Free to SSSA members.
Vadose Zone Journal is published online by SSSA, with the Geological Society of America as cooperator. The pressure of increasing human impacts requires a multidisciplinary approach to sustainable management of the unsaturated zone. Vadose Zone Journal addresses the physical, chemical, and biological processes operating in the zone and will appeal to a diverse range of scientists and engineers. Four issues per year. Available online (ISSN 1539-1663) and on CD.
All Plant Management Network journals, including Crop Management, Forage and Grazinglands, and Applied Turfgrass Science are available at a reduced subscription price for ASA-CSSA-SSSA members. Online subscription to all three journal titles are available to institutional subscribers.
