A field method was developed that allows rapid, accurate measurement of soil oxygen at various depths in the soil profile. A small sample of soil air is withdrawn from permanently installed air reservoirs or diffusion chambers into a cell containing a polarographic oxygen electrode that is connected to a portable oxygen meter.Please view the pdf by using the Full Text (PDF) link under 'View' to the left.
