Abstract

Abstract

The CEC of five subsoils derived from volcanic ash (Trumao soils) in southern Chile was measured following treatment with phosphate solutions with concentrations ranging from 0.0042 to 0.416 moles KH2PO4/liter. The average ratio of increase in CEC to P reacted was 0.6 with only small variations among soils.
