Abstract

Abstract

A simple device is described which facilitates the recording of repetitive length measurements in the field. The data are stored in a portable data logger for subsequent transfer to a microcomputer. A comparison between actual lengths, and lengths as measured and recorded with the device shows the error associated with this method to be less than 1%.
