Abstract

Abstract

An empirical temperature model for predicting initial emergence time of cotton planted at 5.1 cmi s described. The model is verified by comparing predicted values with data collected in field studies. The applicability of the model is confined to field situations in which soil temperature is the primary parameter exerting a limiting influence on cotton seedling emergence.
