Abstract

Abstract

This study was undertaken to determine if low-testweight winter seed oats are suitable for planting. We used 8 lots of ‘Victorgrain 48—93’ oat seeds, with test weights ranging from 28.3 to 46.3 kg/hl.3 No significant differences in yields were obtained when 3 rates of seeding of both treated and nontreated seed were tested. Furthermore, no relationship existed between initial seed weight and seed weight of the resulting crop
