Abstract

Abstract

Day temperatures above 70° F. during the first 30 days after planting and night temperatures below 60° or above 70° hastened maturity. Night temperatures in the 60's retarded maturity. Total degree hours above 70° during the first 20 days were consistently and significantly related to time to half-bloom. Predictions of time to half-bloom based on 20 temperature summation variables were not highly reliable.
