Synopsis

Free ammonia associated with diammonium phosphate fertilizer was toxic to germinating corn. Ammonia at partial vapor pressures as low as 0.125 mm. Hg was toxic to corn when it was exposed to this environment for 2 days during the initial stages of germination.
