Dinner for Six
Interested in connecting with other meeting attendees during a free evening at the Annual Meetings? Consider joining a “Dinner for Six.” Dinner for Six is an informal way for meeting participants to gather with others for dinner. It is open to any attendee - student, early career, mid-late career - really anyone interested in dining with others.
How does it work?
Just sign-up online to participate, by logging in to the system, answering a few questions, and you’ll be added to a Dinner for Six group. When the groups are matched up, your name and contact information will be provided to your host and they will be in contact with you.
Volunteer to Host!
Of course, we need willing hosts to make this happen! If you are interested in hosting (hosts are meeting attendees and members of ASA, CSSA and/or SSSA), you’ll simply select an option or two (via the convention dining link on the meetings site) for dinner venues (based on pricing criteria provided by your group) and we’ll provide you with a list of five other participants interested in gathering for dinner. The host would simply be responsible for contacting their group of participants and then the group would collectively decide on a time, meeting place, and where to dine. The participants would be responsible for keeping in contact with the host, especially if they are unable to join the group for dinner (as reservations are likely to be needed). The host is under NO obligation to pay for any meals but their own.
