This award allows for self nominations only. The graduate student leadership conference will be two days of skills including sessions on public speaking, professionalism, leadership styles, science communication, teaching, and social media. The conference will also provide networking opportunities with other grad students, Society leadership, and industry representatives.

Fifty students will be chosen to participate based on this application. Meals and materials will be provided throughout the length of the conference, but applicants must have their own funding for the November 1 evening in a hotel. Applicants are encouraged to reserve that hotel room now in expectation of being chosen (there is no fee to cancel a room, if cancelled before September).

All applicants will be notified of selection status by August 20, 2014.

  8. List any ASA, CSSA, and SSSA committees, communities/divisions, or other activities in which you have served on or are currently serving on (if any).
  9. List any leadership positions held as an undergrad or graduate student outside the Societies.
  10. What is the title of the paper you will presenting at 2014 Annual Meetings?
